The Journey Began

HTM Team GB began their journey to Denmark on Monday 21st June. Each member had a long drive to their first meeting place close to Harwich but were able to give all the dogs a great free run before catching the DFDS Ferry to Esjberg that evening.
Three Team Members used their cars for transporting the Team to and through Denmark. It wasn't planned but they were all silver and looked like part of the uniform!

Welcome to Jack, provided by Gina to keep an eye on the Team as they travelled.
The jackets supplied by Crazydogs looked great as the Team inspected the Sea Conditions ready to board the ferry.

.Last photo of the Team before setting off to Harwich Port.

Gina ready to travel already sporting the Union Flag!
The Port Officials checked the dogs' Passports and Microchips. Good to know that all the official paperwork was acceptable before setting off.

Jenny supplied Champagne and Strawberries as her Good Luck gift for all the Team. Yummy!!!!
Penny looking thoughtful as they set sail on the 17 hour journey. A timetable was handed to the Team giving visiting times for the dogs. 19:30, 23:00 and 08:15. The dogs were allowed out onto the deck for a little exercise at these times. No one was in any hurry to put them back into the cars and the DFDS Staff were lovely - never rushing anyone to get back.
A beautiful sunset.
This was Inge Mitchell, whom the Team met in the morning after a night's sleep on board. A very interesting lady from Denmark who now lives in London. Her husband was the very famous Leslie Mitchell who was one of the very first BBC TV Presenters.
Carole decided it was time to re-enact Titanic!!!! Not the movie most of the Team wanted to think about!!!!
Hope to post more photos of the journey soon.
